It is ironic the beginning of the project. I felt skeptical from the design and wanted to break away from the design. What is the reason for it? Like most of my friends, I liked drawing and I chose the design naturally. But design was close to another ‘race’ and not like a dream than I thought.
I am making beautiful and beautiful things, but I am not happy at the moment when it seemed to be a means to sell something well. And at the same time that I was doing it pretentiously, It was not fun. When I received a design request, I was often impaired because I felt that I was lying. Also, it seemed like an act of dividing one pie infinitely while seeing the number of graduates of design majors increasing every year. I was worried about my role while gazing at a city - Seoul- covered with so - called poor design, such as a signboard and business card with a lot of distorted layout.
Why I feel skepticism to the design? Was it wrong my definition of design?, Is this social structural factors?, Is my passion lacking?, Or do not I adjust to the physiology of the world?
The title of these project is . It is a psychological term that refers to a phenomenon that is important to focus on only what you want to see. The reality we are facing is not simple, just what we want to see. I try to stare at the scattered backs of the design that I have been ignoring or simply ignoring because I was a dream. 77figures is the 77 images of the scattered back. The book introduces the aspect of design through superposition of images. </div>
