The Small Scale Art group is an independent art group which produces secondary creations rooting from the art of film. This 'secondary creation' mentioned above ranges from image/sound production to writing as in film critique in textual form. The group is composed of members from diverse field of art: film, literature, fine art, humanities, sociology, etc. Once a theme is determined upon the consensus of these members, group unit creations take place for half a year. The magazine is the record of this process and result.
Production of this magazine started in the year 2014. The themes were for volume 1, <Non-Human/In-Human> for volume 2, <.smi .avi> for volume 3. In the form of print, a hundred copies of volume 1 and 2 were produced. Volume 2 was in sold in the bookstore Yourmind, and was granted entry to the 7th Unlimited Edition. Volume 3 takes the form of moving images, and is designed to be inserted in the exclusive Small Scale Art USB.
Hojong Lee, who presented this artwork in 2016 HIVCD Graduate Exhibition, is working as the director and designer of the Small Scale Art group. </div>

소규모예술 그룹은 영화에 대한 2차 창작물을 생산하는 작업 공동체이다. 이때 말하는 '2차 창작'은 관습적으로 창작의 영역이라 여겨진 이미지/사운드 생산뿐 아니라 비평 등의 글쓰기까지 포함한다. 그룹은 영화, 문학, 건축, 미술, 인문학, 사회학 등 다양한 분야의 사람들로 이뤄져 있다. 이처럼 다른 배경의 사람들이 하나의 주제를 정하고, 반년간 공동 작업을 한다. 이 작업이 기록되어 <소규모예술> 잡지가 된다.
이 독립출판물은 2014년부터 만들기 시작했다. 1호는 <팝콘 나쵸="" 에이드="">, 2호는 <비인간>, 3호는 <.smi .avi>라는 키워드를 토대로 하였다. 1, 2호는 종이책의 형식으로 총 100부를 제작하였다. 2호는 독립출판서점 유어마인드에서 판매했고, 제7회 언리미티드 에디션에 출품하였다. 3호는 자체제작된 USB에 영상의 형식으로 담아 총 50개 제작하였다.
본 작업물을 2016 시각디자인과 졸업전시에 제시한 이호정은 소규모예술 그룹과 잡지의 기획자 겸 디자이너로 일하고 있다. </div>
